U.A. should upgrade existing commercial space firstAverage age of U.A. office space is 35 years old, and 78% of space is Class C or worse. (Matt Shad, U.A. Dev. Dir., ThisWeek 4/10/08)
Therefore the problem isn’t lack of space, its quality of space. Rather than
tear down houses, City should encourage businesses to remodel and upgrade to be
competitive, not force neighborhoods to be eaten away by developers choosing
cheap way out. |
